The room stank of damp from the pokey wee bathroom which was falling apart and water running down the wall, puddles around the toilet and a hole in the floor next to the shower which was hidden by a bath mat and catches you out getting out of the shower. The owner was friendly enough and an tourism award from 2004, unfortunately it looks like the place has been untouched since then and perhaps should have had a refit several years ago. I definitely will not be going back.

Had a wonderful 5 nights stay at this lovely Guest House. Room very large with gabled ceiling. Super comfy bed & slept so well as its a quiet venue. Didn't have breakfast as I'm a late starter when away from home; Peter the owner was happy to oblige me Donna, his staff member, is also very helpful & cheerful. Pete also helped carry my heavy bag to my room on arrival & again back to my car when I left today. Great Yorkshire venue, local to my family & friends, will use again.
Stayed in room 4 for 2 nights what a disappointment bathroom suite was like something out the 60's and very shabby border had been painted over both in bathroom and main room. No wardrobe just a tatty curtain covering a curtain rail. Had to have a specific time for breakfast we didn't want to eat til half 9 but was told the cleaner had to start her cleaning so 9 was the latest we could eat. Wouldn't stay there again. Looking on internet rooms in pics looked lovely but believe me ours wasn't!!!
Pete was very friendly and welcoming on arrival. Comfortable, clean room. Good breakfast.
